Advice on a Discovery II

minus the door lock and window problem you have less than a $1000.00 in parts and two long days at turning wrenches.
If you do the head gaskets you will be replacing the plugs and wires at the same time.
If you do the timing cover gasket you will need to drop the oil pan, the water pump will be replaced at the same time. You should?( i dont see a mileage) replace the timing chain at least if not the oil pump gears (again mileage will dictate) needless too say replace all the hoses, t-stat and belt while your there no need in going back.
$1000 and a long weekend is what it took me, and i did everything but the o2 sensors.
