Default Advice needed

While waiting for a new alternator to get delivered I figured I would do a tuneup. Have magnacore 8mm and bosch plat. +4. I removed the wires and started to remove the plugs. On my second plug, the threading won't catch. Am I missing something here...or did the threads get stripped somehow?
Can this be fixed? I saw some post on a rethread kit but am worried this going to get me in further over my head.
Any thoughts?

do you mean you can not remove the plug? if so, maybe no all that bad. could be the plug threads. going to have to get it out to see. maybe upward pressure with some help of pliers to get it started.

or you can not get new plug started? chase threads with tap

Thanks. I got the old plug out. the new plug would not seat. i did try to get it on by hand, no luck. Gonna get a thread chase and hope that works.
BTW-
Just to vent- What a PITA it is to do the plugs and wires.

I will point out that some Toyota V6 engines require removing the upper intake to replace spark plugs. This isn't unique to Land Rover. Heck I remember some GM vehicles require removing an engine mount and tilting the engine.
