Advice on new winch bumper
Hey guys,
During a Scout camping trip this weekend, I finally (accidentally :-)) hit a tree while reversing and jacked up my front bumper. So the Boss says I can get a new bumper now. I was looking at the Terrafirma and Britpart, but I'm not too crazy about cutting my grille to fit a winch. Also looked at all the other available bumpers out there: RTE, Bluelake, HLC, Devon...once you add on the bull bar and shipping, they are more expensive than the ARB.
So I came across a deal where I can get an ARB with a Smittybilt XRC8 winch for $1100 delivered.
Before I pull the trigger, I wanted to get your guys thoughts. Good deal or not?

Pull the trigger, that is a decent deal. One thing I would suggest is that you modify the mount from the bumper to the frame, other wise the ARB is prone to loosening up and twisting when winching.
If you want some help on the mount, PM me your number and I'll walk you thru what to do to correct this problem while getting rid of your crush cans.

You have to search by the ARB part number on the 4wheelparts site. For the DII it is 3432060.

The weather is quite nice here as of late. It can get pretty warm mid day.

Agree with 007 - Weather is great. We have been in the 70's and 80's the past few weeks here in Charlotte.

Will removing the crush cans defeat the airbags or will they still work?
