Advice on Overheating Symptoms (possible purchase)

Go to that Rover.
Drive it.
If you hear a waterfall sound - there is air in the cooling system -
pointing toward head gasket replacement.
When the rover is hot - carefully carefully remove the coolant bottle cap.
Do this with protective gloves on.
Slowly remove the cap.
Are bubbles coming up?
Does it vomit out coolant?
When the cap is off - take the RPM's of the engine to 2,000
Does coolant keep coming out?
Head gaskets...
When I replaced my head gaskets - all of the ABOVE STOPPED HAPPENING.

I will put my spoon in your plate, as I experienced the same picture from the seller :
The lower radiator hose is wrong. Collapses at higher rpm because of pump suction. The pump inlet hose MUST have a stiffener coil inside.
I replaced such hose with a solid pipe, bye bye overheating problem. Perhaps will work for you.

A picture of the surgery.
No thermostat, engine outlet direct to radiator with the use of a 1 1/4" copper elbow.
Radiator outlet direct to pump intake. It will never collapse.

Perhaps is of help to someone.
