$25/rim!? Wow, that's a great deal, that's almost worth the trip to CDA!

And you are right, it's a bit of work, took me a full afternoon, but considering I avoided this to get them powder coated, I thought it was worth it....

1. Pulling all 4 rims/tires off truck
2. Putting the Rover on blocks/jackstands
3. Taking wheels/tires to the tires shop to have the tires unmounted from the rims (but how, with the Rover on blocks?)
4. Dropping the rims off at the sandblaster/powdercoater
5. Waiting for them to finish
6. Pick up the rims, take back to the tire shop to have them remounted to the tires
7. Transport rims/tires back home and remount.

PHEW! And that's why I went with the rattle can

You left off number 8:
Take offroad, rub rim against rock, damage powder coat.

Another reason why the rattle can would be my choice.

I have 2 sets of wheels so it is easy for me. I have the studded tires on now so I am going to get the chrome hurricanes powder coated black; I hate the chrome.

Ylo, you should come over to CDA sometime, it would be fun to do some trails together.

Agreed, ditch the chrome

For sure! It's been a while since i've been over there, that would be a good time.
