Motor or fan size have nothing to do with wether or not it will work properly. The important factor is the cubic feet of air the fan can move. It can look the same and not move enough air and then you are stepping into an over heat issue.

That motor is used in Chrysler Intrepid to cool the engine , now it will have light duty to kick in when it is very hot and engine fan can't move enough air when AC is on .CFM it is going to be probably more because it uses same Rover fan housing with stronger Intrepid motor.

Update: Jerry called Will Tillery who referred him to someone else, replacement is on the way for 75 bucks including shipping. Jerry is out of town until next week. Will follow up later.
