The LR kit (which is now I think made by Britpart) is a good fix for the peeling up between dash and windshield area. It seems like installing it when the windshield is out of the car would yield better results than trying to use an offset screwdriver with the windshield in. BTW.

However, the only fix I've seen on this front part above the radio peeling up ASIDE from swapping dashboards that ... may work ... is inject glue (something very strong, like military watercraft adhesive) under the front where it's peeling up (above the radio), then placing heavy (multiple 10 pound ?) diving weights (metal / or coated) on it to weigh it down for a few days. Using a syringe etc. Might work? Might not? Not injecting glue thru the dash, but between the dash and the part that is peeling up.

Roger That.
Do you think it was design flaws like this that caused the downfall of the British Empire?

WTF, I thought these dashes were generally long-lasting but maybe this can happen in a humid environment? Does it mostly affect black dashes?

Humidity is definitely a contributing factor. My buddies d2 did this immediately after filling the truck with water (sunk up in a mud hole).

Well, after a few hours at my local pick n pull I now have a non-warped dash. It isn't black, but that can be easily changed. Taking it out wasn't hard, just tedious. The hardest part on the removal of a dash from a vehicle you don't want to damage is unclipping all of the wiring. The only casualty during the removal was one bloody knuckle and the mount that holds part of the dash facia to the dash itself. The metal bracket is only rivetted onto the plastic dash and not by very big rivets. This will be easily fixed with a thin metal backing plate and re-riveted.

Those seat cushions look pretty good. If I were near where you are I'd go grab them to tuck away for when the ones in my truck need to be replaced. Again.

I did the same - pulled a spare tan (perfect condition, not even any cracks up on the black plastic by the defroster,...) dash on an afternoon -- just so I have it.
