all of my frustration
Ok so the coolant isn't coming from the head gaskets/elbow or valley pan. Is it lightly coming down from that small port on the bottom of the bell housing. Any ideas?
Remove the intake and try to torque all the intake bolts properly. You probably missed a few of them.
Did you get the two coolant hoses on to the plenum heater element? Those are not pissing out on top of the engine some where unattached?
Radiator shroud bolts not leaking from cracked radiator plastic?
Any of this stuff can leak and pool up elsewhere.
Our you spilled - filling it all up.

Retorqued Inlet manifold, everything is dry. Hoses under pelum aren't leaking either. Any other reason I would get white smoke from passenger side exhaust? Or coolant from that small port on the bell housing
Nothings sucks more than having to do it twice however, I've come to realize this is written in stone as per the Rover Gods... If I had a dollar for every Rover project I had to do twice... Sucks bad man but you have to stay positive and just knock it out. Once you're done with the head gaskets, you're going to feel great knowing you have nothing major to worry about for a while..
Failure to have heads skimmed flat by machine shop
Torque failed because you missed a bolt or a step
Stripped bolt, folded over gasket (hard to do), metal scrap between gasket and block, re-used old bolts.

I didn't machine the heads seeing as how I never over heated and it was in tolerance. I marked the bolts and turned them in the right sequence. After re-torquing the inlet manifold I stopped the steam out of the exhaust but it looks like I'm loosing coolant out of the back of the head gasket on the passenger side so I guess I'll be buying all new gaskets and bolts again
