Default Alpine and rear window seals

Hey all,

Was waxing the truck today and noticed the the rubber seal around both the alpine glass and the fixed rear glass is pretty chalky and deteriorating. Two questions...

1. I'm assuming the windows are sealed with cement, not these seals, and that the loss of these seals is purely cosmetic. Yeah?
2. Has anyone replaced them? Can't find them listed anywhere.

I’m assuming you wanted this in the D2 section instead of the for sale section. So I moved it.

To the best of my knowledge those seals keep water out and the windows in place

Yep! Ha, I'm a doorknob, thanks for moving it over.

I am wondering the same. Every time a clean the windows, some dissolved sealant creeps down the body and needs to wiped off. As in the linked thread explained, some silicon should do the job.

Best I can tell to have the job done right take it to a glass place and have them strip the old sealant and replace it. I will be doing this with mine. The new sealants are polyurethane based like sikaflex I think.
