Default window seals

I have a 97 discovery.

The side windows have crack in them. Big ones, but they do not appear to be leaking. I bought some black silicone and I plan on sealing them up once we get a few days of sun instead of all this damn rain.

Once of the roof corner windows (or what ever they are called) has some rust under the seal.

I will have a garage in a couple of months. Is replacing the seals difficult?

Should I even stress my self out about this?

can I assume you're talking about the rear side panel window seals and / or the upper "alpine" window seals ? Either way......you can get the seals or gaskets online at Atlantic/British (www.roverparts.com), but Installing them is best left to someone who does that for a living....they will have the neccessarry tools and knowhow to do it right the first time. Get your parts and then seek out a local glass shop.

For the side windows in the boot I replaced my gasekts. Actually a glass installer did one and I did the other. It's not a hard job and I like my results better than his.
I have the seals for the alpine windows, but haven't done them yet.

If you know a glass person, they are easy. I was quoted $100 to replace the rear seals, but I had the seals. The guy only charged me $20.
