Got it, I think it was just low voltage not turning on the regulator. I boosted it and let it run for 30 mins, now it works fine.

Truck runs more smoothly now for some reason lol

The days of $25 junkyard starters and alternators are long gone. Thank the cash for clunkers program for that.

That's not true...I get them all the time at my local yards.
