Taking off the axle nut. Three wheels on the ground. CDL engaged. Transmission in park. Am I going to harm anything in the diff or axle by bearing down on this?

In hind-sight I should’ve loosened it with the brakes applied.

Should have just popped the center cap off and removed it first. You could put the ebrake on and give it a shot as it sits.

Roger. Silly question I guess. It took an extra 15 minutes to re-do everything and guarantee I don’t break anything. Sometimes I’m dumb.

if you do intend to do it, at least put a two nuts on your studs and the a bar across the studs to stop the whole thing turning, the nut are to stop the bar coming off the studs

Just put everything back together, put all it's feet on the ground, then waited for the wife to come home to lay on the brakes. Easy and safe.
