True and you can always smear a little wd40 on the next of the water pump or white lithium grease to make it slide on easier. If you didn't take the fan off, it can be a major pia to try and fit it properly and properly secure it in there

So, finally got the time to crawl under the rover this morning w/ a flash light and some safety glasses to identify the source of the leak. After removing the fan, shrouds, and belt, and using a rag to follow the drips upstream I was able to identify the source. Although I can't actually see the source bc the water pump pulls is in the way, my best guess is that it's coming from the wp pully seal, and produces a constant drip, drip even when cold. When running and or at temp, it's a steady stream.
Is the wp pully seal a service item, or do I have to replace the wp as a unit?
Thx.

Not sure if you can fix your existing but, I would recommend replacing the pump and gasket to avoid future failure

Let me rephrase my feedback...If you are going to replace the gasket, might as well do the pump so you know you have a good one on there that is not a time bomb.
