Hi all
i have Discovery 2004 TDI and i had few time that my M and S light where on and the gear was stuck at 3 gear. now its been a month from last time i had this issue and i will also replace my battery since its very low..
can anyone tell me if there is any scanner and i mean in reasnoble price ~ 100$ that can clear this erorr. i need it just in case i will be offroad and will get the erorr back again.

There is nothing you will be able to buy for that price that will tell you what is wrong. When the m&s lights blink that is limp mode. That lets you know two things. Either the battery is dead or the connections are loose or corroded.the other cause is the xyz switch is damaged. You can take it apart and clean it. If on the trail I rebuilt mine with bolts instead of rivets so I can easily take it apart and spray it with electronic cleaner or wd40. Let it dry put it back together. Good to go.
