any roof rack made with abs??

i hate rust and everyone i looked at it has rust did they ever make a full size plastic abs roof rack?

maybe aluminium rather than plastic. I would imagine plastic has a pretty low resistance to shattering with force (any of you engineers out there want to chime in as to what that's called?). just a thought...

I dicked up part of mine and replaced that section with galvanized. If i had done the same "uh oh'' with a plastic one, I'd be looking to buy a new one.
