I agree, but lets wait until someone (me) or anyone else does it for the Rover application and make THAT write-up a sticky. I have a spare modulator at home, but haven't had time to do this to it yet. I am gonna "rebuild/fix" that one 1st for practice, then remove my troublesome modulator and do it to that one and reinstall it so if my amigo's don't return, we'll know it worked.

The seller on ebay who I bought the spare modulator from was told to buy a new modulator to fix his "three amigos" and so he did, straight from AB (he sent me the used one in the AB packaging and in the WABCO bag the new one came in. after he installed the new modulator the amigos came back and it turned out to be a wheel sensor. he kept the new modulator and sold the used one.

So maybe the one I bought doesn't have any issues. I will take pics and document both modulators for comparison.
