My Disco has the Atlantic British trailer wiring kit, but the coverter has burned out and has lost the left turn signal/brake. I checked the wires going into the converter for power and they are fine, but the outgoing power from the coverter isn't there on the left turn wire. Instead of buying another AB kit for a hundred dollars, I thought I might splice in an aftermarket converter into the harness from Hopkins, which can be bought anywhere for less than $15. I looked at the instructions on one of the converters and it said it only was good for 2.1 amps. Is this sufficient?
