Default anyone know what these connectors are for?

I am wiring in some extra interior lights (map lights and two rear cargo lights). While removing the panels to install them I ran across these two connectors. If they are not in use I was thinking of patching into them for power. I tried to find them in the Rave to no success.

This one is on the rear driver side up by the alpine window.

This one was taped up in foam and is in the overhead council with the sunroof controls.
Thanks for any help.

Those are for the alarm system's sonic sensors that came with most but not all Disco's.

The one in the rear cargo area might be for the alarm system's volumetric sensor. There should be another one one the left side above the drivers' head.

hmmmm.... looks like too many wires for the alarm on that rear photo. Both of the motion sensors (volumetric detectors, ultrasonic) use a black, a white & black, and two wires that are purple and gray, or gray and purple. The black goes to frame ground, the others back to the BCU.

Perhaps an ace sensor then?

Would they work as a power source do you think? My lights are 6w each.

Nope, if they come from BCU they are low current. But there may be other wires in that area you could mooch from, crack out the RAVE circuits manual, and look for things in that are nearby (mirror, dome lights, etc.). That will give you the wire color and what fuse it links back to. It will also show some small numbers, to identify the connector, you look those up in the electrical library and get a color pix of the location and pin out for the connector.

The front ones should be no issue as I can tap into the existing dome light. I doubt two 6w lights will over do the wiring for that portion.
