Default Approaching 200K miles 03 D2

So my D2 is closing in on 200k miles, and I feel like it runs great. I stay proactive on replacing fluids and parts and have an ultra gauge to keep an eye on coolant temps, and thus far have not needed a head gasket job.

Is there anything in particular I should be servicing to keep it going for another. 50 or 100k? Many of my miles are criss crossing the country but also a fair amount of city driving.

thanks

I don't know the answer; surely others will chime in.

I just wanted to congratulate you on your truck's longevity. I hope to hit that milestone someday in my 2000 Disco II.

Congrats on that milestone man!!! I would keep up doing whatever you are doing. Better to be proactive instead of reactive.

227k on my 02 Kalahari. All with the original engine/transmission. It runs better than my 2014 Ram C/V company van with barely 70k on it!!!

Just keep up with routine maintenance and she'll be be good to ya! Can't wait to be in the 300k club.

This thread is the antithesis of the one I commented on debating motor swaps in that this gives hope for proper maintenance and attentiveness can keep the fatal flaws of the motor at bay. WOOHOO!!!!
