Default ATF & lucas oil Conditioner in power steering...

I was wondering if I could mix atf and lucas power steering conditioner together and use it in my truck? I have atf in it now as my power steering fluid. Thanks.

Good point, my bad. See Texaco cold climate PAS fluid vs. Pentosin. Resolved? - DiscoWeb Message Boards for more numbers for various alternates to the speced fluid. Basically non-synthetic ATF is desired. Rover of course specifies unobtanium level fluids. And the Lucas folks make a power steering fix fluid, it is red and thick just like the tranny fluid, but must be a different formula.

Unless you are having problems dont use any additives in anything, additives actually counteract the fluid properties.
Bottom line, as long as you use quality fluids you do not need additives because the fluids already have additives in them.
