Default ATF usage?

I was reading a few old posts on discoweb and they were talking about putting a quart of ATF in a full tank of gas to clean the cylinders & injectors. I know some on this forum advocate the ATF engine flush,I was wonderingyour thoughts of its use in the gas?

ATF in the crank case, seafoam in the gas tank. Never the opposite - works pretty well.

I did that years ago back when everything had carbs ( not the ones
you eat) now with FI there are a lot of better things to use.

It will not hurt anything but will not do as much as Seafoam.

Years ago we used to pour ATF directly down into the carb, not in the tank. It made a nice smoke show!!

The easy way to let the seafoam clean your FI is to let the gas tank get low and fill with at least a 93oct. Then add a can of seafoam.
About 1/2 way thru that tank of fuel you will hear and feel the difference, unless the truck needs a tuneup.

Not very good on the 02 sensors.
If you really want to clean out the injectors and cylinder area, go buy a can of B&G's 44K, it is by far the best on the market. Ath the same time clean your throttle bosy, idle control unit and flush the engine and you will be quite impressed with the improvement.
