Default Auto Dimming Mirror / Fuse ?

My auto dim feature hasnt worked since I got my Disco and I looked at my rave cd to see if there is a fuse in the mirror or in the wiring harness and saw nothing helpfull just said how to take it off. Now all the dimming mirrors that i have seen that were bad were all cloudy but mine isnt and the green indication light even comes on when i push the button but no dimming. Any ideas ?

Mine does the same thing as well, but I live in Phoenix and have a pretty dark tinted rear window, I just figured it was because the tint was to dark to allow enough light to switch it.

but while we are on the subject, I was just looking at my mirror through the front window and noticed a sensor (or something that looks like one) on the front of the mirror. I am curious if anyone knows what this is.

with the key on try shining a light at the front of the mirror and watch the reflection see if it changes then put a piece of black tape over the sensor, see if anything happens

well I see the sensor on the mirror side but there is another one facing the glass, I am trying to figure out what the one facing the front of the truck is for.
