Hello, On my 2004 Discovery 2, I installed a dual Aux USB power port in one of the coin trays. My question is - where is the easiest place to tap the power for the port. Is it the cig lighter? Or is there something more easily accessed by removing the glove box? I'd like to use switched power - meaning only when the ignition is on.

I believe the Cig lighter is switched

 

Cig lighter is switched and it is where I tapped into for my aux USB install.

 

Just did this project, although, I ran everything into the center storage bin. Super easy to remove the center console to access the cig lighter.

 

I tapped it at the fuse box, since you have easy access to it. It's a green-white wire coming from C0587 (pls see electrical manual) going to the cigar lighter
