Default BCU mount location photo

I have had my 04 with a 2 inch terra firma lift for less than a year. Just got back from an elk hunt and did some serious wheeling with my new to me Disco. I am thoroughly impressed with the Disco's capabilities! These trucks can climb anything!

Long story short; while at about 9000 feet just after sunset, 18 degrees out heading down the mountain back to camp, my Disco shut down on me. The code showed p1668. The dash lights were flashing but the engine was immobilized. I could not get it restarted. I found fuse 13 (engine compartment) was blown. Replaced fuse and was able to get it started and drive another 2 miles down the rocky trail when it shut down again. Same fuse was blown! Replaced it but just as I installed another fuse it blew again. It was pitch dark and way cold making it difficult to troubleshoot. Those with me ended up walking 7 miles back to our camp. This sucked because we had spent all day hiking back to the disco with our quarters (anyone who has humped elk off a mountain knows how tough that can be).

The next morning we drove out to the truck and I started checking wires. I removed the glove box and noticed that the BCU and metal frame that is attached was loose and just hanging. The lower portion of the mount was resting on some wires. Apparently the frame rubbed on the brown wire coming from the wire loom to the BCU, exposing the wire which caused a short as it rubbed from the rough trail.

The previous owner had installed a Kenwood stereo system with GPS and satellite radio. The professional installers did a crappy job as it appears they moved several items, including BCU to install the components. I managed to cover the wire and wedge a roll of duct tape in between the BCU and wire loom. Once done, truck started right up and I was able to drive 250 miles home with no issues.

I cannot figure out where the BCU, its frame and the other WABCO device box mount up. I don't think Land Rover designed the BCU to just dangle and rub on the lower wire loom. A search on the internet only shows pictures of BCU's, not the actual location. Does anyone have pictures or could they take a picture of where the BCU mounts behind the glove box?

Thanks for any help you can give!

See attached page from the RAVE. Frequently you can look up electrical plug numbers in circuits guide and the cross over to electrical library to get a pix of location. Whole RAVE can fit on many smart phones for EBD events (Emergency Boondocks Disasters). Looks like a bracket holds it by the connector end.

Thanks, that helps a little. I only had the shop manual on the phone, not the electrical circuits. Just added now. I may have to dig around in there a lot. The BCU and other WABCO device are attached to a frame mount but its hard to see where it attaches in the compartment. I believe the stereo installers just removed or broke the mount to put in the components and let it dangle.

For those wondering or curious, there are copper colored studs at the back of the firewall (from the engine compartment it is affixed to the black metal plate where the fuel cutoff switch and air pump connect). The BCU frame mounts up to them. The bottom stud was sheared off at the base, the other wasn't secured to the top of the mount. It was left dangling for all of the aftermarket stereo equipment (bluetooth, GPS, and satellite). The installer shoved that crap up inside using velcro adhesive, the extra weight caused the BCU to fall down and rub on the wire loom. I spent all day yanking out the aftermarket stereo and tracing wires (trying to determine what is stock and aftermarket). They shoved 10 pounds of crap in a five pound bag (so many wires it is unreal). Now I have to figure out how to repair the stud (weld or drill trough firewall and use a bolt).
