Best H/D leather cleaner...
Yeah, yeah, I know...there are a few mechanical issues that must be dealt with, BUT...it'd be nice to have a clean interior too. Used some SimpleGreen on the seats and surfaces yesterday and that did not begin to get the years of dirt and grime off of the leather. Any suggestions on products you've used to get the really nasty stuff up/off the interior?
Might search under the detailing section of this forum bet there is some suggestions in there.

I have used common automotive hand cleaner cream, the non abrasive variety, that has lanolin in it, Grab a handfull, rub the he... out of it, bare hands; maybe leave on for a few hours, wipe off, with all the dirt. Repeatedly Worked well for me, with no harm at all.
I could be wrong, but I think that too many guys are way too worried about harming the leather with something too harsh. When in reality, if I am not in error, the surface of most, if not all automotive leather upholstery IS NOT LEATHER. The makers start out with real cow hide leather, but they spray the outer surfaces of that leather, with some sort of man made flexible non leather, a plastic, rubber sort of product, pre-colored to colors they want, tan, black, gray, etc. Back in the earlier days, one could buy, and probably can still buy, if one knows where to shop, this leather surface coating, for spraying on. So, one isn't putting leather cleaners on leather, but one is putting cleaners on surfaces of leather, that were man made. These man made leather surfaces block most, if not all, ingress of leather conditioners from really getting into the leathers.
