So this tranny flush is a safe way? I just did not want to cause more damage by adding this.

Drain the crankcase, fill with ATF, idle 20 mins, drain and change the oil filter, refill with cheap oil.
500 miles later, drain motor oil, refill with ATF, idle 20 min, drain, change oil filter and refill with cheap oil again.
500 miles later change the oil and filter again this time refilling with full synthetic motor oil.
So two ATF flushes 500 miles apart and then a full synthetic oil change 1000 miles after the first ATF flush.
Then chnage the oil and filter every 5,000 miles from then on.

It is a can of graphite. Did some research online and it is about 50/50 for screwing people over, like you said clogging oil passages, or just making the engine run a tidbit smoother.
I'm not going to risk it.

I had an 84 Chevette that I drove to the shipyards. I dumped a can in it and it did great for another 3 years. BUT, I wouldn't put it in unless it is a last resort.

so i guess do the flush a few times before adding oil. that way i can try and get it all out.

The total build up won't just go away on one flush, take your time, it took a long time to build up and it will take time to get rid of it.
