Default Better Valve Cover Gaskets

My valve cover gaskets from Atlantic British are leaking (significantly) after only 2 years and about 20K miles. Frustrating! Can anyone recommend a better quality gasket set that will not leak? This is a stupid problem to have such a short time after an engine replacement.

You almost certainly just need to tighten the fasteners. But if the gaskets are actually broken, a can of Permatex The Right Stuff gasket maker will make a better valve cover gasket than any pre-cut gasket.

I tightened all four bolts on each side to the proper torque upon first noticing the oil leaks. Didn't help.

Make sure your baffle on the passenger side valve cover is clear & no clogged or you’ll be pressuring the engine & the valve cover gaskets will always seep. FV308 is a nice upgrade vs the plastic baffle.

You can get 1/4” Torque wrenches, I have one for working on bikes. It’s possible it got overtorqued/unevenly torqued.

edit: sorry, just noticed u torqued them. Disregard the above.

Fel Pro makes a molded gasket that is way way better thannproline. Mahle also has a molded gasket, but I have not used it.
