Default Blinking Interior lights

So I bougt a used Land Rover 1994 and have been having little bumps along my wonderful newcars ride so to speak. I read the post about the leak on the passager side - thanks mike I have that problem - along with this one : all three of my interior lights blink when a door is open rather than just coming on. At first I thought it was my trunk light since it wasnt blinking and replaced it - it too now blinks. At a loss - theres nothing in the manual and I thought if there was a blown fuse the light wouldnt work at all - can anyone lend some suggestions?

I going to guess.
I would look to see if someone has done some after market stereo, lights, alarm.
Other wise I would look to the grounds.

Sounds like something to do with your security system.

ok everyone - heres what happened - the front passenger button that reads if the door is open/closed broke - the soder came free from the switch (now I cant find the wire its somewhere in the door where i have yet to figure out how to get to it). When it broke it shorted the fuse. The blinking was the security working and the absense of light was the fuse and broken switch. So now I have to figure out how to fix the switch - either find the wire or try to rerun the wire and I have no idea where it should go - fun being a chick with a clueless boyfriend.
