Default Block Color Grades?

I've been looking for several minutes. I can't find anywhere listing the engine block grades by the paint splotch color. Anyone have a link?

That's the one! Thanks.

Red is the thickest block
Yellow is middle
Blue is the thinnest block.

Bummer. The one I'm working on is blue. Oh well; ran pretty good before I tore it apart for head gaskets. Should still run good after if it's kept cool.

Don't be so sure, they all had blue marks on the front. The mark you are looking for is under the valley pan gasket on either cylinder #5 or #6. Ive only seen one block that I could make out the color of the dab, it was red, but the crank broke and trashed the block. Lady went to Walmart and had her oil changed. It was a 2001 P38 4.6.

Ah! That's good news. If the rain holds out, I should finish at least getting the top apart this afternoon. I'll report back.

Thanks Abran

Good luck Alex! The pop up awning can be your friend- shade and some rain protection.

Luckily she was dry enough to work for a while. Got the intake off, the exhaust Manifolds unbolted, and ALMOST got the driver's side head off.... Until my woes continued. The very last bolt in the main back of the head, the higher one down inside next to the valve, stripped the head. Jeez.
