I have read in the book "how to tune your rover V8" that LR used dabs of paint to grade the quality/cylinder wall thickness in colors. Blue, yellow, and red. Red being the best and supposedly the only grade they made 4.6 engines out of.

It is noted that the paint dab is on the valley of the block. Has anyone found these marks? Where are they exactly? Any photos?
