Blower Motor Plug burnt - blower doesn't blow
Hi Everybody!
My blower went out. I wiggled some wires. It started again. Then it stopped. Upon further inspection, what appears to be the main connector plug has been burnt. I wiggled it some more and it sparked and the blower started.

I've soaked it in electric contact cleaner. Now about to file the burnt corrosion off. I'll let you know if that works shortly.
Any idea why this would happen? I found another thread on here and that guy's blower connector was really burnt. Have started to get a little leak over there from the windscreen. Maybe it got wet.

Could just be a connector problem due to environment/corrosion or the blower motor may be causing the connector issue. I would want to check the motor to see if it rotates freely. Motor going south needs more current to start/run heating connector and causing what you found.

Thanks. I will keep an eye on it. I direct wired the hot wire and left the other in the connector. Everything seems good. It was heavily corroded, and then blackened on top of the corrosion and I don't have a small enough file to get in there and clean it really good.
I suppose I should have pulled the blower while I was in there to see how freely it turns. I'll keep an eye on it and next warm day I will pull and check the blower motor.
Fire extinguisher is right behind my seat if things go horribly wrong before then.
