you need to look for an AMP drain on the battery instead of a voltage drain. put your multi-meter in AMP mode.

I am not familiar with anything electronic, i basically am looking for a complete walkthrough of how to fix this, so can you tell me which setting to put the multimeter on and where to place the connectors in the multimeter? thanks

this is the one i have

I read up a bit on it, and set my multimeter to DCA mA setting and it reads 0.02, this is normal right? what does it mean when it goes from 2V to .12 when pulling the alternator fuse?

You are the second person to have a problem with these guys alternators.
Buy a used one and see what happens, but I am betting these alts are junk.

I will do that, but Im not sure if this one is dead or not yet. I`ve got to solve this draining issue first. how come when i pull the fuse it goes from 2V to .12V??

All I know about electrical things is that the fat prong has to go into the fat hole in the wall outlet.
RoverChris is a 12v tech, ask him he will know.
