Ahh...I hadn't thought about rusting. Good point. I'll be finding the nylon ones.

Grainger has them. Check their website, they usually ship in a few days.

The reason you don't reuse nyloc nuts is because the nylon lock on them has been used, and will not retain like they used to. Never reuse nyloc nuts unless absolutely desperate.

I dont want to make an argument about using or not to reuse a nylock nut, but this poor guy has been searching, and searching, sold the wrong item (steel lock nuts, you might as well tack weld a nut on, and then use your open ended wrench to remove in the future). If a nylock nut still has retention when reinstalled...it's not any different than using lock-tight. I've yet to have a nylock nut fail that still had retention when reinstalling, on anything....Im just saying it's not the end of the world...A good example would be a rear dirtbike motorcycle axle nut, the dealership says you must replace...They last for years under extreme abuse. With that said, my front rover drive shaft is going to fly out later this week! Knock on wood.

We have the correct bolts/nuts if he wants to order them. The nuts are $.25 each and the bolts are $.35 each.
