Default Both rear window buttons not working

I drive an 03 D2. When I use the center console to roll down the back windows it works fine, but both rear windows buttons don't roll the windows down. Pressing
the child lock button on or off doesn't change that. Any suggestions ???

I would pull the center console and check the child lock button first as that would be the easiest. If it tests good, pull one of the rear door panels and check the window switches.

I had the opposite problem, worked fine behind driver, console would not work. I took a guess that the switch wore out. I gave Paul Grant a shout and bought a used on from him, way cheaper than new one. slapped in and was good to go.
A little strange both would fail at same time. Not sure which fuse they are on off the top of my head. I'd check that too.

The earth return from the switches on both of the rear doors, goes through the child lock switch on the console.

That's how the child lock switch works - it breaks the path to earth for both rear door switches.
