I have the rack off the truck right now so it might be hard to tell how it mounts but here are some close ups.

yes, doing 4 per side and i am making the bend longer as well. tomorrow will be fun!

Here is where i am at now. 8 L brackets, 11 inches tall and 5 inches in length on the bend.

doing math on the holding bracket and the anchor point.

I believe you want the brackets under the basket pushing the weight up, rather than on top of the basket holding the weight from going down.

But wouldn't that give me more down force?

Those are just mock setups to visualize what io am doing and to take measurements.

here are the brackets i made, now they arent pretty but they will work.



once i have help i will tack weld the feet then align as needed, add another tack weld, remove from truck and prep/weld paint- drill holes and mount.

just curious... why did you have the front come out so far over the windshield?
have you had it on the highway yet? what is the noise like?

$125 and ive spent 100 on materials for the brackets.

i have not welded on the brackets so it hasnt been driven on.

its in the mock up phase so the rack will be moved back/forth and side to side some once i am ready to weld.
