If anyone is interested in attempting a rebuild, i have a spare that i am happy to send to someone. it looks like the Range Rover one would work, the bolt pattern is different, but I bet you could cut the extra studs off. I dont know enough about them, but it seems insane that of all the cross compatible parts that the booster would be special. I thought I saw napa or autozone lists one but it never in stock. Maybe it was rock auto?
The Range Rover you speak of must be RRC. P38 brake system is completely different. There are very few compatible parts between D2 and P38. Engine and wheels are the only ones that come to mind in the 2 minutes I've been thinking about it.
Well I thought I found a guy here in Georgia that rebuilds Brake Boosters but he let me know that there are no rebuild kits or spart parts available for these. I found part numbers for replacements LR# SJG000040 or 40P1, TRW PSA615 or N4000194198TRW , Cardone 53-2958 all of which are NLA. This totally sucks that these are not available anymore. One can only hope that one day they may make a batch of them or rebuild kits. Until then I found me a used one that I did a light restore on the outside. Hope it works
I also need a new brake booster. These new prices are insane, and I wouldn't trust used parts if we already know these things barely last 100k miles. Seems like this is one of the very few parts for the D2 that doesn't have good alternatives.

Just read Land Rover made 100,000 D2s between 1999-2004. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that there is still a viable market for replacements and or rebuild kits. Absolutely ridiculous! Come on TRW make some more
