I took out my 2002 disco and drove it through the yard and the BRAKE light that appears when you have the emergency brake on will come on momentarily and go off i drove over some roots and it would blink every once in awhile. What could be the problem??

 

Check your brake fluid level and add if it is low. If that doesn't fix it you will need to adjust the e-barke cable.

Do you have a rave cd? It has step by step instructions on everyting including this project. a bit lengthy to write out. Let me know if you need the info and I can e email it to you.

 

I get the impression you are not very mechanical so I would suggest you go see a mechanic.

 

Could this be anything serious? besides ebrake cable?

 

That's why you need to go see a mechanic and don't drive it till you can get it into a shop.

 

is the "arm" for the parking brake all the way down ? it could just be the switch..
