Hi i have 2001 discovery td5 and my odometer keeps flashing. My cousin mileage repairer. He tried to fix it but we couldn't get success Is there anyway to fix it? As i read from forums there is a discrepancy between car's bcu and odometer displayer but why don't know... Thx...

 

You need to take it to the dealer and have it reprogrammed.

 

i did but they said that they need to replace odometer with a new one. it means that much money but odometer works excellent except flashing mileage isn't there anyone know able to fix this

 

A dealer told you it had to be replaced, did you ask them why, did they actually check it. I believe they are full of ****, usually they can be reprogramed. If yours is, in fact bad, then let me know, I kow where you can buy a good guaranteed used on.
Call another dealer and talk only with the service manager.

 

Are the numbers blinking or is it the light in the background? Because, sometimes the back light on the odometers will go out and will usually flicker on and off. I have not experienced this in a Land Rover before but, It has happened to me in other cars.
