Lightbulb Brake Pads - which ones do you use/love?

Which brake pads do you use on your Landy? Ceramic, kevlar, etc..

For organizing purposes, please answer the following:

Make:
'00 Disco II
Loved Brake Pads: EBC Green Stuff
Price/Set: $62
Why: no squeaks/dust, have had for 1.5 years and still good!

Ok, let it rip...

1997 DI
Lockheed pads and rotors.
They work great.
I have put 30k on the truck and they were on before I bought it.
50% or so of life left.

Spike, I'm glad you like those pads...those are the ones I'm thinking of buying when I get paid on Thursday.

AnnelieseMae give roverguy.com a call he has good price on rotors and pads. The pads are made by quality friction and are similar to lockheed and the rotors are italian and the same brand as the rotors I just took off . $285 shipped, no sales tax, you can't go wrong and people have had luck with them as far as dust and wear go. Mine are half on so I have no personal experience yet. Worth a look.

I plan on ordering from roverguy.com once I get the moolah, but since I really need to replace at least my pads now, and there's no way I've got almost $300 for it...I'm going to go with the $50 right now and save for the $285 in the near future.

I just gotta get new pads on ASAP...I work on the side of a mountain!

Those are OEM pads Annie, if they are good enough for the Queen then they are good enough for me.
A person will go broke if they always try and use the most expensive parts they can.

Model: 2003 disco SE
Pads: EBC Greenstuff on DBA rotors
Price: who knows
Why: old brake setup would wake up the whole neighborhood they squeaked so loud. These don't squeak at all, have better stopping power, and little dust

Right now I have on Akebono Ultra Premium ceramic pads with Pilenke Italian discs in front. Low dust and great feel. The Akebono pads are awesome. In rear OEM Land Rover pads and Brembo discs. Do not ask me why such combination, but it's what it is.

Model: 1997 Discovery
Pads: ATE PremiumOne Pads w/ Power Slot(front) and Brembo(rear) Rotors
Price: $90 pads/$200 rotors
Why: I wanted to try something different. This setup stops as well as the EBCs I had before.

Model: 1999 Range Rover HSE
Pads: Akebono Euro Ceramics w/ Brembo Rotors
Price: $150 pads/$240 rotors
Why: The pads are quiet and have almost no dust, but require more effort to stop.

Has anyone ever tried Porterfield R4-S pads? They're a little pricy but I've only read good things about em.
