brake problem

hi guys just looked back 16 pages could not find anything so heres my problem.

yesterday thewife drove the disco about 30 miles and ahe said the abs light would stay on for a while and then go off today i took it for a drive abs light finaly whent off after about 5 miles but then i went to hit the brakes and it just started pulseing like the abs was tring to stop from slideing but tires were no where near locking up in other words barely any brakes so i limped it home 30 miles through the back roads i do have some brakes but if i push the pedal to hard it starts pulsing instantly it has been snowing alot and roads are soild mud but this is on paved roads any help would be much appreciated.

Don't wait around for a reply, get it into a shop today, they are going to need to inspect it to see what is rewally wrong.

hi discomike hey looked around under hood found a three way vacuum hose near brake master cylinder that the hose ends were all split and one was off cut all hoses back to good ruber and reatached one goes into dash other goes up under front left headlight and i lose it the other one is short and connects to pump im assuming took it out for a test drive light went off brakes worked fine pulled into gravel drive way slid tires a little bit light came back on re took it for test drive brakes are still fine told wife to take the nissan tomorrow going to do some more testing but brakes seem fine will let you know more tomorrow still going to go to shop just have to find one local that has the tools live sorta in the back woods of se ohio closest rover dealer is 2 hours away thx for your quick response tho

the tee you were referring to controls you cruise. Has nothing to do with your brakes.

No idea what year your Disco is, but on the 95 D1's the ABS was designed by an idiot. It doesn't fail in safe mode. It will fail in such a way that ABS is much more dangerous. I'd get it checked out. If it's back to not working when you read this, I'd pull the ABS fuse before you drive it. It could get you killed otherwise. This is the case for my D1 anyway.

yea disco guy i figured that out after reading some more posts lol whats weird it has been 3 days with me just lightly driving it around the backwoods where i live and the problem has not presented it self againyeah anti that was a scary exp and mine is a 97 going to get it to mechanic this week no one i would use could get me in fri
