Default Brake Upgrade - Anyone Interested?

I am looking at putting together a performance brake kit for use on Disco I/II including 4 piston front calipers, stainless lines (including the short lines) and everything needed to do a bolt-in replacement.

Would this be something many people would be interested in? I'm expecting significantly increased brake power and feeling and hopefully longer disc and pad life (more surface area).

You can also email me questions, ajh@finux.org

I think, if you came up with a potential package, that there are a number of people who would like to improve their brakes especially on the older D2's.

That's my feeling too, I am talking with someone who's doing billet 4-piston calipers now and hope to have a plug and play kit available soon. Having people who're interested and ready to order would help get the per-set costs down.

What are you thinking about as far as pads and rotors, how about DBA's and Kevlar pads?

Yeah, that was my thinking. I'd love to go to a cast rotor but that'd be just crazy expensive (coming from Superbike world).

Are we talking bigger rotors or just more powerful calipers... I need to trplace my pads and rotors sometime, but I am on a limited budget....might be interested if it will fit a D1....

I'm talking about using the stock size rotor because it needs to fit into 16" rims. This would be a billet caliper and steel line kit with pads. Could be used with any 'new' rotor set, I'm using DBA's now for example.
