Default Brake Vacuum Boost line replacement (Non return Valve)

G

The old (still in) and new to the left

Broken end that goes to intake manifold

Replacement
Good afternoon everyone! As I took apart my engine I snapped the brake vacuum line that goes to the intake manifold so I got a replacement. Question: how to remove it from the MC side? I can’t find any directions on it in the RAVE. Thanks for the help!

I was never able to get it off the master cylinder. So instead I cut the pipe at the MC end, leaving a couple of inches of length. You can get new vacuum line at any auto parts store that will sleeve snugly over the outside of the old tube, and ensure it seals with a little bit of RTV sealant.

It will just wiggle out, you can use a pry tool of your choice, just be careful

yep! Just angled it right and I pried it out. Thank you! I didn’t want to end up with another disaster (which this entire 4.6 conversion has been going). Hopefully I’ll be complete in the next couple days. Only took half a year

Half a year?!?! You're still a half a year ahead of me! My old tube broke off at the intake mani. I shoved it in a little farther and so far it's working but doesn't look right. I have a new one but was struggling getting the old one out of the vacuum booster. I'll give it another go.

The broken bolt that holds the trans pan on was a far problem today however so I never got to the vacuum line. Do they not have Never-Seize over there in England?
