Brakes
How many miles on the truck, have the pads and or rotors ever been changed in the past, are you going to be doing it?
No special tools needed unless you are going to change the rotors, then you may need a hand held impact driver with a #4 philips head so you can remove the one bolt holding the rotors to the hub.
Who are you buying your brake pads from? Make sure you do a full brake flud bleed, about 2 quarts, when you are done and use plenty of sound deadening material on the back of the brake pads.

I just changed out my brakes on my 2004 for the first time with 55k miles...easy peesy to do....I called my local Auto Zone/Advanced Auto.....Duralast. brand....$45 for the front pair and $40 for the rear...lifetime warrenty....in stock or next day to their store.
It takes me longer to remove the tire then it does to install the pads. My rotors were good...no warps or grooves...so it was just a brake pad replacement job. Just need to remove one bolt out and flip the caliper down or up.....squeeze the pistons back down with large grip pliers....install new pads....flip thecaliber back down and re-install bolt....thats it!

Auto Zone seems to have some decent pads, I hear they also have ceramic pads, which would be my choice. I wouldn't do the rotors this time around, wait till you are up in the high 60K range then possibly consider changing them out also.
If you go to Autozone, get the ceramic pads and use sound deadener. I threw a set of the regular "lifetime warranty" pads on and they are really really really dirty. I can drive 20 miles and swipe my wheels and there is a line....
