What have you checked so far? Year, model and mileage?
When were the brakes last inspected, when did you last change your brake fluid?
Is this your first vehicle?
NO!!! you shouldn't run Hill Decent or low range. If it is that bad you shouldn't have been driving it.
Every off road instructor in the world will tell you to run low range and first gear going down a steep grade, it is even recommended by LR, and who knows better than them?

I own the Land Rover Off-road DVD, The Essential Guide to Off-Road Driving, and what do they tell you to do when decending a steep grade? T-case in low, trans in 1st and use the HDC.
This is coming from the Land Rover Experience instructors, in the UK. My DVD is even in PAL format so I can only play it in the bedroom on my small tv, it sucks that I cannot watch it on the LCD in the livingroom, same thing with my Camel Trophy DVD. Good video's to fall asleep to though.
Put the DVD player on "repeat title" and it will play all night, imbedding it into my brain and I cant get it out!

Its 03 disco hse 56,000 miles new break pads about 500 miles on them fluid is new I put three bottles of new oil in her with the tirky baister! I would have crashed and died if I hadent put it in 1st gear and I wish I had the brain to put her in 4 low becouse my rear tire has a chunk of rubber missing!! #&**^#@
Check all of your BRAKE lines. might have a bulge in one under high pressure. Might just want to replace them all with stainless braided if you are going to be off roading much.
I just looked at http://www.roverparts.com/ProductLis...amp;PartNumber=
$109 buck!! What is the skill level I would need to change them all? Looks easy
