Default Britpart Lynx diagnostic questions (guinea pig)

Hi guys,

I recently got the Britpart Lynx Diagnostic system for my D2... I am still learning to play around with it and seeing what it can do. If anyone has any questions or wants me to see if the system has certain capabilities I would be more then willing to try to help people figure out if this is the right diagnostic tool for them before they buy. I am sure you have figured out that Britpart has very limited information about their tools capabilities.

Cheers

I would love to hear what kind of luck you've had with the unit in regards to its purported programming abilities: https://landroverforums.com/forum/ge...ailures-82623/

My experience has been that I can't access the unit's programming functions without some unknown 18-digit code that neither Britpart nor Land Rover can identify.

I haven't had much trouble with my lynx and have successfully been able to re-program old keys to my truck. I used the spreadsheet code generator people talked about on a another thread back in the past to generate the 18 digit code from the small code on the inside of the key. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...uyU/edit#gid=0

Other then that I have tried to re-program my fog lamps to be able to stay on while having my high beams on but it's as if the settings wont save to the bcm. Maybe I am not doing it right... This said I haven't had to use it much other then that.

Thanks. I hadn't found that spreadsheet. I'll give it a look, but it looks like it's still providing a 16-digit code instead of an 18-digit. I'll read it more closely, thought. thanks again.

The "*" at the beginning and end of the string of numbers counts as a digit. I also had to figure this out the hard way my first time.
