Good tips! I'm no stranger to mechanical linkages being crappy. This one is definitely a little stiff. Ill give it some lubrication and the first time it acts up I'll replace it. Thanks for that tip! It's good to know its obviously a better design.

The reason I'd dump the ARB is it's huge, heavy and frankly, just too darn big. There's no need for a bumper that sticks out from the vehicle 8-10" and reduces approach angle that much. I've never seen an ARB bumper that I liked, all of them are overbuilt for the looks.

As for sliders - I'm not sure yet. I'm not a huge fan of ones that bolt to the door sill, but for this platform, It might be ok. With that said, I'm not sure if I'd rather just come off the frame and do some more nerf bar style to keep the truck off the trees. Northeast is all about wet rocks & trees.

This weekend I did a few little things, even with the blizzard. I verified power to the windshield on both sides, drivers side doesn't heat, gotta be the window I suspect. Fixed the "bad pump" for the windshield sprayers by removing the failed check valve.

I tidied up the aftermarket radio wiring... I also changed the thermostat out for one of those 180degree thermostats -

- Nice change! Dropped my temps from 198-204 down to 188-194. Excellent to keep these engines running cool! I'm still laughing though... the RAVE claimed you should pull the fan?! ... why?!

More line items on da bill......

But in all fairness, some things like disconnect battery and such are to minimize safety issues in the shop. The dealer would have wanted you to go for a water pump and new fan clutch as well.
