Bumper Help
I searched and searched this forum and can't seem to find anything, so if it's somewhere I apologize.
In a recent post about a free bumper someone questioned a disco 1/disco 2 difference in front bumpers. My question is will a Disco 1 bumper fit a Disco 2?
Keep in mind I really don't care about air bags or anything like that, I've only owned Disco 1s and don't know Disco 2 very well. I would like to hear from people who actually tried/have it done.

Yeah that helps a LOT, thank you! I have an engineering background so any form of drawing/blueprint/schematic/graph or similar and I'm in heaven!
The worst part is, it's not even information for me, well kinda for me. I'm building custom bumpers for my truck so I'm selling my ARB from my 95. For some reason the people on craigslist have a different mindset than most. If you sell something on eBay, like a bumper for a 95 disco, the person that's buying it typically has a 95 disco. But craigslist people have been calling me asking "does it fit a mitsubishi?" or something random like that. My answer is always the same "don't know, don't care, it's for a discovery. if you buy it, it's yours regardless of fitting." But I've received a couple calls about the d2 so that sparked my curiosity.
Thanks again.

a d1 arb will fit a d2 but it will have to be trimmed. if you took it off your truck you will see the mounts, the inner side of each mount is longer. that is because the d1 has a squared off edge in the frame. the d2 has a angled support leaving two 45 degree angles. however this leaves less surface space and so those tabs on the bumper have to be trimmed to accomodate this angled support on the d2. Both Arb's use 3 bolts per side for the mounts. the D1's use 3 horizontal the d2's use 2 horizontal and 1 vertical (to make up for where the third horizontal would be set at that angular support of a d1. i have a d1 arb on my d2.
