Default A bunch of warning lights . . .

Okay, I was driving back to work after lunch today when my car went ding and the Traction Control, Downhill Assist, and ABS lights all came on. What am I looking at here?

I am sorry, I couldn't resist.
You are looking at a bunch of lights, also know as the 3 amigos, the Xmas trio and may other names.
You have thrown a fault code for your ABS system. Is your ABS system still working if you ge on the brakes hard?

Did they go away the next time you turned it on?

Yes, they all went off. I'm wondering if I was getting a false reading, due to the fact that I'm past due to get the pads replaced on the rear brakes . . .

I dunno if it's a false reading or not, but mine did the same thing a couple weeks ago.

My three lights came on onceand went off when I restarted the truck. Everything seemed to be working fine so I chose to ignore it for a while, though I knew in the back of myhead that the pads needed to be replaced. After about two months, the lights came back on and stayed!I changed the pads, had the dealer clear the lights, and all has been good since.

Lesson: If you know your pads need to be replaced and the lights come on momentarily...Get those pads changed before the lights come on to stay!

Realistically there could be something else wrong, but since you know the pads need to be replaced, I would start there. If the lights stay off, and everything is working fine, you should be OK.

I had the same thing 2 weeks ago. The lights came on and the went off when I restarted it. They stayed off for about a week then came on again and stayed!

I had new brake discs and pads fitted all round and the one sensor propoerly seated and it has not come back.
