Bypassing the ABS/TC hydraulics
On other forums for chevys and fords there are many articles on bypassing the ABS. Some because of faults and some because ABS/TC impedes their driving on gravel and snow (most in Alaska). I have been concentrating on how to do this electrically.
The solutions I have seen is bypassing with the whole unit hydraulics. This way they lose the warning lights too. Has anybody done this?
Interestingly the UK Defender has the ABS as an option and the feedback I got from LR UK was that people who spend most time off road are better off without it.

Shouldn't be too hard. There are two lines coming from the master cylinder, just like on most cars. You'd probably need an adjustable proportioning valve to get the front to rear braking correct, as the abs unit handles this normally.
You will need to by-pass the ABS modulator, which means running a new brake proportioning valve like already stated.
I dont know if you could just have it turned off in the computer or not.

There are 2 in and 4 out - so 1 for each wheel. The 2 fronts would need to feed by a Y into the valve as would the 2 rear. Has anybody done this?
The code will definitely have a switch for ABS and everything else it controls. On the CDL there is a physical switch which disconnects the ABS/TC functionality when the Diff is engaged (if you have the missing linkage) but then all the warning lights come on - which will be a software switch.
Even the dealers do not have access to this code.
