It was reading 13.9 at 2000 rpm. around 11.5 at idle

question? I don't travel very far to work each day and I take the backroads through neighborhoods. I don't think I go over 2000 rpms much. Do you think this could have put a drain on my battery?

11.5 is way low, check all your ground and power connections at the battery and alt... then check voltage from the back of the alt to the alt bracket itself, if youre not around 13(with electrical loads off... radio, lights, fan, seat heaters...) you got yourself a bad alternator
